Configuring Exchange ActiveSync in iOS (Not recommended)

What follows is a guide for how to set up an e-mail account with Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) in iOS. EAS makes it possible for you to synchronize e-mail, contacts and calendars from the webmail to your iOS device.

Please be aware that the guide will use to represent your domain and to represent your e-mail address. When you add your e-mail account you must use your real domain and e-mail address.

1. Go to Settings on your iOS device.

2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

3. Select Add Account.

4. Select Exchange.


5. Now you need to input the settings for your e-mail account.

User Information

  • Email: Enter your e-mail address
  • Password: Enter the password to your e-mail account
  • Description: Optional

Now click on Next.

6. Now you need to fill in some more settings.

  • Server:
  • Domain: Enter your domain (after the @ sign)
  • Username: Enter your username (before the @ sign)

Now click on Next.

7. Now your device will verify the settings.

8. Once verification is complete, you'll be able to choose what to sync to your device. Then click on Save.


9. Then click on the account you just added.


10. Now click on Mail Days to Sync.

11. Then make sure No Limit is selected.

12. Now you've added your e-mail account with Exchange ActiveSync, you now have the ability to synchronize email, contacts and calendars from webmail to your iOS device.
