How do I permanently delete emails in my inbox?

If you need to be able to delete mail permanently, without having the mail moved to the Trash folder first, you can do it by using a keyboard shortcut. If your email address has run out of space on the server, this is the recommended way of clearing up space.

Normally, you can move an email to the trash folder by highlighting the email and pressing the [delete] key on your keyboard. Afterwards, the email can be removed entirely by deleting it from the Trash folder in the same way.

In order to delete an email directly without moving it to the Trash folder first, you can press [shift]+[delete].
