Changing the sensitivity level of the spam filter

The spam filter enabled on all email accounts hosted by Surftown performs a series of tests on all incoming email, and assigns a score that is then matched against a set threshold. If the score is higher than the threshold value then the message is considered to be spam.

This threshold can be adjusted in the Anti-Spam settings in the Dashboard. The default value is set fairly high in order to make sure no legitimate emails are deleted. If you receive a lot of spam to your email address then you might want to consider setting it to Aggressive instead. Please note that this setting affects all email addresses on your domain.

1. Go to the Anti-spam settings in the Dashboard.

2. Select your domain or sub-domain (1).

3. Set the Spam check level to the required setting (2).

4. Click the Update button (3).
